Guidelines:

All submissions should be typed with double line spacing on one side only of A4 paper and pages should be numbered.

What to send us:

Children's/Young Adult Books
A covering letter, a synopsis of the proposed book with the first three chapters, a CV and if relevant examples of your illustrated material.

Adult Fiction
A covering letter, a full plot synopsis of the proposed book, the first three chapters and a CV.

Non-Fiction
A covering letter, a proposal for the book including an overview of its themes and story and your sources, the first three chapters if they are available and a CV.

The majority of our new clients are taken on through SMART Academy, recommendation or invitation. However, if you would like your work to be considered for representation, please email your CV, a 200 word (max) biography and a writing sample to: submissions@smart-talent-group.co.uk

Important Submission Information:

Do not omit any of the listed items from your submission. Please allow 12 - 16 weeks for a decision. An email confirming receipt will be sent to you in the interim.

Please note we cannot return hard copy materials to you unless you have provided us with a self-addressed envelope with the correct postage affixed.

We try to read the material as quickly as possible but due to the large number of submissions we receive we are unable to give editorial guidance or advice on the material we reject. If we feel we are unable to offer you help or representation, a formal rejection letter or email will be sent.
